Before going to Palmitos Park our biggest concern was its price....as the entrance fee is not cheap. It's €29 for adults and €21.50 for children.
But once we were inside we definitely did'nt regret it. We really enjoyed ourselves!
Palmito Park is not your typical zoo with cages but it's more of an animal park and botanical garden. And it's also in a beautiful location with lovely panoramic views about 9 km from Maspalomas.
One of the highlights for us was the cactus garden. They also had a number of animal shows which we enjoyed. Four of them...
The first one we saw was a dolphin show which was impressive...though I must admit I did feel a bit guilty watching the dolphins performing for us in a pool...there was also a parrots show which was very entertaining, a tropical birds show and a show with birds of prey.
And watching the eagle plummet over us at 200 miles per hour was incredible. There was also a reptile area, a primates area and an aquarium in the park.
Children: €21.50 (5-8 years),
Mini: €8 (3 and 4 years)
Free for children under 2 years.
If you plan to visit Aqualand there is an offer for both parks:
Children: €34.00 (5-10 years)
Mini: €12.00 € (3 and 4 years)
The park is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00 hours (Monday to Sunday).
You can either take bus number 45 from Bahia Feliz, Playa del Ingles, Campo Internacional or San Agustin. Or bus number 70 from Campo Internacional, Puerto Rico, Amadores and Maspalomas Lighthouse.
If you're driving...you'll first have to get to Maspalomas. Once here you have to go to Av. Alejandro del Castillo and drive all the way up the road. Av. Alejandro del Castillo is off one of the roadabouts on Av. De la Europea.
As you drive up Av. Alejandro del Castillo (which is the GC-504) you'll
reach an intersection and you'll have to turn left...taking Calle Alajuela
(GC-503). Just carry on driving up the GC-503 and you'll get to Palmitos
